What we implement
- Natural language processing
- Machine learning models
- Intelligent automation
- Enterprise AI governance
What is IBM Watson?
IBM Watson is IBM’s family of AI software used to work with language, predictions, and automation on enterprise data. IBM’s current catalog also includes watsonx offerings; which product we implement depends on the use case and IBM’s current licensing.
Algorisys implements these IBM AI services as a Gold Business Partner. We do not sell a private-label Watson.
How does an Algorisys IBM Watson implementation work?
We start from a decision, document, or process you already run — not from “we need a model.” Then we pick the IBM AI service that fits, connect it to data you already trust (often Cognos, Planning Analytics, or a warehouse), and keep a human review step where the outcome matters.
A first pilot is one workflow. Wider rollout waits until data access, prompts or models, and operations are agreed.
Who is IBM Watson for?
- Operations teams automating a repeatable decision with review
- Document-heavy processes that need language understanding
- Analytics teams adding prediction on top of trusted IBM data
- IT and risk teams who need IBM AI with enterprise governance
What does it work with?
- IBM Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics where those are the systems of record
- Enterprise data platforms already feeding IBM analytics
- Existing applications that must call the AI service
- Human approval queues and audit logs
What should you know before implementing?
Watson is not a chatbot you drop on the intranet. Scope, data rights, and IBM licensing decide what is possible. If the source data is not trusted, the model will not save the process.
Algorisys implements IBM software; we do not replace IBM’s AI products with our own.
Questions people ask
What is IBM Watson in this context?
IBM’s AI software (and related watsonx offerings where that is what IBM licenses for the use case). Algorisys implements it; IBM builds and licenses it.
Does Algorisys make Watson?
No. IBM owns Watson / watsonx. Algorisys designs the use case, integrates it, and supports the implementation.
Is this a chatbot project?
Only if the agreed use case is conversational. Many Watson implementations are classification, extraction, or prediction behind an existing process.
Do we need Watson to use Cognos or Planning Analytics?
No. Those products stand on their own. Watson is added when there is a clear AI use case on top of trusted data.
Where does human review fit?
On outcomes that affect customers, finance, or compliance. Agents and models propose; named owners approve.
