Agentic AI

Deploy autonomous AI agents that plan, act, and optimize complex business workflows.

What we implement

  • Multi-agent orchestration
  • Tool-using AI agents
  • Human-in-the-loop controls
  • Enterprise security

What is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI here means software agents that plan steps, call tools, and complete a business workflow — with human-in-the-loop controls where the outcome matters.

This is Algorisys implementation work. It is not an IBM product name, and it does not replace IBM Planning Analytics, Cognos, or Watson. Agents can use IBM data and AI systems you already run.

How does an Algorisys Agentic AI implementation work?

We map one workflow, the tools the agent may call, and the approval gates a person must hit. Then we pilot that process with logging. Wider rollout waits until tool boundaries, failure handling, and owners are clear.

Multi-agent designs are used only when one agent is not enough — not as a default architecture.

Who is Agentic AI for?

  • Operations teams with a repeatable, tool-based process
  • IT teams that need audit trails on automated steps
  • Groups already on IBM analytics who want agents to act on that data
  • Processes that can tolerate a human approval gate

What does it work with?

  • IBM Cognos, Planning Analytics, or Watson where those hold the data or models
  • Internal APIs and business applications the agent is allowed to call
  • Human task queues for review and exception handling
  • Existing identity and access controls

What should you know before implementing?

An agent without tool limits and review will fail in production. Start with one process, named owners, and a kill switch. Agentic AI is not a substitute for a planning model or a BI layer.

Licensing for any IBM software the agent uses remains IBM’s.

Questions people ask

Is Agentic AI an IBM product?

No. It is Algorisys implementation of tool-using agents. IBM products stay IBM products.

Can agents use our IBM data and AI?

Yes, when those systems are in scope and access is governed. Agents do not replace Cognos, Planning Analytics, or Watson.

How is this different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers. An agent is allowed to take steps with tools. We only grant tools that the process actually needs.

Will this run without humans?

Not for decisions you would not already automate. Human-in-the-loop is the default for finance, customers, and compliance.

Do we need this if we already have Watson?

Only if there is a workflow that should call tools, not only a model. Many IBM AI projects never need an agent.
