YappyInk is a lightweight desktop screen annotation tool that lets you draw, highlight, add shapes and text, and annotate content directly over other applications.
The annotations belong to the screen rather than the document underneath, so you can continue scrolling, typing and working in the application while your annotations remain visible.
YappyInk provides a transparent overlay with drawing tools, pass-through mode, undo and redo, zoom, text, shapes, highlighter, eraser, session saving and global controls. It is designed for annotating code, presentations, documents, demonstrations and other on-screen content.
The project currently provides builds for Ubuntu/GNOME, Windows and macOS, with platform capabilities documented according to what has been tested on real machines. The project is open source and released under the MIT license.
